I recently decided to have a go at baking some form of caramelised pears using the few ingredients that I had at home. I ended up creating these baked pears with muscavado sugar and vanilla yoghurt - so simple but really delicious on a chilly evening.
You'll need (for 2 serves):
- 2 pears- 2 tablespoons of muscovado sugar (or dark brown sugar)
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- A couple of dollops of vanilla yoghurt (or ice cream if you'd prefer)
1. Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
2. Cut the pears in half and remove the seeds and stalks.
3. Place them a baking tray, lined with a sheet of foil.

4. Sprinkle the sugar and cinnamon over each of the pear halves, then place in the oven for 25 minutes.

5. Remove the pears from the foil and serve with a dollop of yoghurt or ice cream.
