As I've been trying to get to the gym more often in these past few months, I decided to check out some protein powders that I could use to help with muscle recovery after a workout. I've really been enjoying the Nature's Way protein powder in smoothies and shakes, and I now make this banana and blueberry protein smoothie a few times a week. My favourite flavour of the protein powder is the vanilla, due to its versatility, but the chocolate is a close second.
This smoothie is incredibly easy to make, especially since receiving a Nutri Ninja blender for my birthday, which blitzes all the ingredients together in less than 10 seconds.
You'll need:
- Half a frozen banana- A handful of frozen blueberries (about half a cup or so)
- About half a cup of milk (I use light milk, but you can use any type you like)
- About half a cup of chilled water
- 2 tablespoons of protein powder
1. Place the banana and blueberries into your blender (or blender cup if using something similar to a Nutri Ninja)

2. Add the protein powder on top, followed by the milk and water.

3. Put the lid on, then blitz together for 5-10 seconds (or until all ingredients are blended well).

4. Pour into a glass and enjoy!
